Just a ten-minute drive from the campground and a twenty-minute bike ride away, is Hinojos, a charming Andalusian village of whitewashed houses. The village is known for its traditional whitewashed houses, narrow streets and friendly locals. It is a perfect example of typical Andalusian architecture and culture. Hinojos offers you the opportunity to taste the local gastronomy, explore historical sites such as the parish church Santiago el Mayor and admire the Ermitage de la Virgen del Valle.

Just half an hour from the campground is the picturesque village of El Rocío, a must-see destination. The atmosphere seems straight out of a cowboy movie, with dirt streets and inhabitants on horseback. Surrounded by marshlands, the village offers glimpses of flamingos and wild horses. El Rocío is also famous as Spain's main pilgrimage site, especially during the "Romeria del Rocío" around Pentecost, where pilgrims gather to pay homage to the Virgin "Blanca Paloma.

Doñana National Park

    The campsite as such is not bad, the pitches large and well connected, the lady at reception nice and multilingual. The sanitary facilities were largely clean, there was not only a washing machine but even a freezer. Now to the downsides the possibilities for hiking from there are limited, the coast is about 30 minutes away by car, there is de facto neither WiFi nor halfway stable cell phone reception, shopping facilities can only be reached by a long drive, so you should have everything you need with you. It's not the campsite's fault that the mosquitoes are simply unbearable, but it is the campsite's fault that you have to enter your email address even if you book on site and then get spammed endlessly. There is an unsubscribe link, but instead of "newsletter" you get "customer surveys", for which you need another unsubscribe link, which can hardly be opened on the cell phone. So always enter a junk or fake address when booking.

    Der Campingplatz als solcher ist nicht schlecht, die Parzellen groß und gut angeschlossen, die Dame an der Rezeption nett und vielsprachig. Die Sanitäranlagen waren weitgehend sauber, es gab nicht nur eine Waschmaschine, sondern sogar eine Gefriertruhe. Jetzt zu den abers die Möglichkeit von dort aus zu wandern sind beschränkt, die Küste etwa 30 Minuten Autofahrt entfernt, es ist de facto weder WiFi noch halbwegs stabiler Handyempfang vorhanden, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind auch nur mit längeren Autofahrten zu erreichen, man sollte also alles was man dort braucht dabeihaben. Dafür, dass die Mücken schlicht unerträglich sind kann der Campingplatz nichts, aber dafür, dass man auch wenn man vor Ort bucht seine Mail Adresse angeben muss und dann endlos zugespamt wird schon. Es ist zwar ein Abmeldelink vorhanden, aber statt "Newsletter" bekommt man dann " Kundenbefragungen", für die braucht man einen anderen Abmeldelink, der sich auf dem Handy kaum öffnen lässt. Bei der Buchung also immer eine Ramsch oder Fake Adresse angeben.

    We stayed there for a few days in a house and were completely happy. The team on site is super nice and attentive. The road to the resort is sometimes very bad, but that's often the case in Spain. The mosquitoes there are also completely normal! But you have great peace and nature. The pool was still open in October which was very pleasant. We would come back at any time !!!!

    Wir waren einige Tage dort in einem Haus und sind rundum glücklich gewesen . Das Team vor Ort ist super nett und aufmerksam. Die Straße zum Resort ist teilweise sehr schlecht , aber das ist halt in Spanien oft so. Auch die Mücken dort sind vollkommen normal! Dafür hat man grandiose Ruhe und Natur. Der Pool war im Oktober noch geöffnet was sehr angenehm war . Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen !!!!
