Salland Ridge

The Salland Ridge is one of the largest contiguous moorland areas in Europe. The hills were formed long ago, during the ice age. In the middle of the Sallandse woods, and less than fifteen minutes drive from the vacation park, is Avonturenpark Hellendoorn. The adventure park is a fun day out for young and old. There are more than 30 top attractions, including the wild water ride 'Wild Waterfall', the '3 Secret Towers' where you can climb and clamber, and the 'Flying Flame' roller coaster. You can also visit one of the many spectacular shows and there is an outside sliding track where you will have plenty of adventures. The park has several catering establishments where you can go for a small snack or dinner. Keep in mind that the park is closed during winter months.

Dining in the Gardens of Priona

This unique pop-up restaurant "The Garden Room" serves culinary dishes using products from the Gardens of Priona throughout the summer months. Depending on what is growing in the garden, the menu changes weekly and is always fresh. The restaurant itself is an old greenhouse which stands in the middle of the gardens. The Priona Gardens were created in 1970 with the goal that everything revolves around ecological balance. By now the Gardens of Priona are internationally known. The beautiful and very inspiring Gardens count more than 5000 different species of flowers and plants. You will find the Gardens of Priona and the Garden Room in Schuinesloot, about a half-hour drive from the vacation park.

    It was a lovely long weekend. The accommodation was clean, well maintained and cozy. Sauna and shower were fine. Whirlpool is relatively small, bathtub with jets. Kitchen equipment sufficient. Furniture with cushions on the terrace in fine weather. The bockspring beds should be mentioned, very good and gentle on the back. Also worth mentioning is the first class restaurant. Tasty dishes, modern and freshly prepared. Good wines and a large selection of beers.

    Es war ein schönes , verlängertes Wochenende. Die Unterkunft war sauber,gepflegt und gemütlich. Sauna und Dusche waren in Ordnung. Whirllpool ist relativ klein, Badewanne mit Düsen. Ausstattung der Küche ausreichend. Bei schönen Wetter Möbel mit Kissen auf der Terrasse. Zu erwähnen sind die Bockspring Betten, sehr gut und Rücken schonend. Auch zu erwähnen ist das Erste Klasse Restaurant. Schmackhafte Gerichte ,modern und frisch angerichtet. Gute Weine und eine große Auswahl an Bieren.

    Lovely park. Every morning from 9 to 11.30 you can swim in the heated outdoor pool. The cottages are beautifully placed and clean. In the four person cottages you can easily stay with 4 adults. The park is located in beautiful surroundings. 5 min by car and you are at the Lemele mountain. The park is now not full, if they offered some last minutes we would definitely go more often. Our little dog is also allowed.

    Heerlijk park. Iedere ochtend van 9 tot 11.30 kun je zwemmen in het verwarmde openlucht bad. De huisje zijn prachtig geplaats en schoon. In de vier persoons huisjes kun je uitstekend met 4 volwassenen verblijven. Het park ligt in een prachtige omgeving. 5 min met de auto en je bent bij de Lemele berg. Het park is nu niet vol, als ze eens wat last minutes aanboden zouden we zeker vaker gaan. Ons hondje mag ook mee.

    A wonderful place to unwind for a while. The 2 pers Wellness cottages are great and fully equipped. We come here with some regularity to recharge our batteries. Environment is beautiful and particularly suitable for cycling. The restaurant at the park is fine and the warm pool is a must (off season, limited open).

    Een heerlijke plek om even helemaal tot rust te komen. De 2 pers Wellness huisjes zijn geweldig en van alle gemakken voorzien. We komen hier met enige regelmaat om onze accu weer even op te laden. Omgeving is prachtig en leent zich vooral voor fietstochten. Het restaurant op het park is prima en ook het warme zwembad is een aanrader( buiten het seizoen wel beperkt open).
