Take the bus or car to Nijmegen and be in the oldest city in the Netherlands within 20 minutes. Stroll through cozy downtown streets, past the cute boutiques on Hezelstraat and find a place for a drink or delicious lunch. Hiking on the Mookerheide

A 10-minute walk from the houseboats in Limburg is the Mookerheide. Formerly a battleground on several occasions, but nowadays a beautiful nature reserve with vast heathlands, a hilly landscape and beautiful forests. Enjoy the greenery and tranquility while hiking on the provincial border of Gelderland with Limburg. Follow the hiking trails, spot a sand lizard, admire the view and forget for a moment that you are still in the Netherlands.

Castles in the area

Near this glamping in northern Limburg you will find several castles. The medieval Doorwerth Castle is just under a 40-minute drive away. The castle today houses 4 collections: the furnished castle rooms, the National Forestry Collection, the Dutch Hunting Museum and Museum Veluwezoom. Take a walk through the woods surrounding the castle, take a look at the kitchen garden and, while visiting the inside of the castle, discover how people used to live here. A little closer, about a 25-minute drive away, is Museum Castle Wijchen. Take a calligraphy workshop and join a guided tour of the castle. The various workshops, activities, tastings and exhibitions make it a fun outing for young and old alike.

A day of fun for children

Close to Malden, just over a 15-minute drive away, is Harm's Hoeve. All year round you can visit this cozy farm to pet the animals or help feed them! There are cows, goats, sheep, pigs and chickens. Next to the farm you will find the Corn Maze. Not only is there a maze you have to find your way out of, there's all kinds of things to do! Take a ride on the go-kart, play in the straw or see who wins a game of soccer. Bad weather? Then head to Adventure Park De Bergen. After a 25-minute drive, you'll be in the most beautiful indoor playground in the Netherlands full of play equipment and attractions.

    Very friendly and helpful, even outside office hours. Houseboat was neat, clean and comfortable, with thoughtful extras like a tea towel and soap pumps, in addition to the welcome package. With two adults and four adolescents, it was full, but manageable. Beds lay wonderfully, shower was fine. Highly recommended!

    Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam, ook buiten kantoortijden. Houseboat was netjes, schoon en comfortabel, met attente extra’s als een theedoek en zeeppompjes, naast het welkomstpakket. Met twee volwassenen en vier pubers was het vol, maar goed te doen. Bedden liggen heerlijk, douche was prima. Aanrader!

    The houseboat is very nice. Equipped with everything and in a great location. We wanted to spend a few days with our dogs over New Year's Eve and hoped that there wouldn't be so much partying and fireworks in a nature reserve. Unfortunately a mistake. Recommended for friends of fireworks. Definitely not recommended for nature and animal lovers or dog owners on New Year's Eve.

    Das Hausboot ist sehr schön. Mit allem eingerichtet und in toller Lage. Wir wollten mit unseren Hunden ein paar Tage über Silvester Urlaub machen und hofften, dass in einem Naturschutzgebiet nicht so viel gefeiert und geböllert wird. Leider ein Irrtum. Für Freunde des Feuerwerks zu empfehlen. Für Natur- und Tierfreunde bzw. Hundebesitzer zu Silvester auf keinen Fall zu empfehlen.

    A very nice facility, clean, well thought out and well secured. The houseboats are functional and nicely furnished. Everything works wonderfully, shower, air conditioning or heating, WLAN and the first basic equipment (toilet paper, mop, drying cloth, washing-up liquid, dishwasher tab, etc.) is also available. The price/performance ratio is absolutely fine. You can rent a stand up paddle, canoe or a small motorboat on site. The lake is ideal for fishing and can be accessed directly from the houseboat terrace. There are restaurants and a supermarket not far away or you can have your online shopping and morning bread rolls brought directly to the boat. The area is great for cycling and sightseeing tours. Nijmwegen is not far away and very nice for shopping, eating out or visiting the spa there in bad weather. Despite the cold and somewhat mixed weather, we had a very good rest and have already advertised this beautiful resort. We really miss the beautiful sunrise and sunset. We will definitely be back again 😍

    Eine sehr schöne Anlage, sauber, gut durchdacht und gut gesichert. Die Hausboote sind zweckmäßig und hübsch eingerichtet. Alles funktioniert wunderbar, Dusche, Klimaanlage oder Heizung, WLAN und die erste Grundausstattung (WC Papier, Wischlappen, Trockentuch. Spülmittel, Spülmaschinentab, etc.) gibt es auch. Das Preis-/Leistung Verhältnis ist voll in Ordnung. Man kann sich vor Ort Stand up Paddle, Kanu oder ein kleines Motorboot mieten. Der See ist ideal zum Angeln und geht auch direkt von der Hausboot Terrasse aus. Nicht weit entfernt gibt es Restaurants und einen Supermarkt oder man lässt sich den online bestellten Einkauf, sowie die morgendlichen Brötchen direkt zum Boot bringen. In der Gegend kann man gut Fahrrad fahren oder auf Sightseeing Touren gehen. Nijmwegen ist nicht weit entfernt und sehr schön zum Einkaufen, Essen gehen oder bei schlechten Wetter das dortige SPA besuchen. Wir haben uns, trotz kalten und etwas durchwachsenden Wetter, sehr gut erholt und schon Werbung für diese schöne Anlage gemacht. Den wunderschönen Sonnenaufgang und Sonnenuntergang vermissen wir sehr. Wir kommen bestimmt noch einmal wieder 😍

    A nice location of d accommodation. Taken with a wide-angle lens though. Small space. The stove is not enough to cook on it but to heat. Too small for three people. Friendly owner. The threats of fines if you do things they do not want does not feel nice. Price and quality ratio too expensive. Hrt view and location is beautiful.

    Een mooie ligging van d accommodatie. Wel genomen met een groothoeklens. Kleine ruimte. Het kookstel is niet voldoende om er op te koken wel om op te warmen. Voor drie personen al te klein. Vriendelijke eigenaar. De dreigementen van boetes als je dingen doet die ze niet willen voelt niet fijn. Prijs en kwaliteit verhouding te duur. Hrt uitzicht en de ligging is prachtig.
