Liked: The sites space and privacy. Backs straight into amazing woods all around, perfect for bringing our 2 dogs for daily roaming. Bonus if use of all facilities including pool and sauna.

Very nice car-free campground.... Can confidently let my child go to the playground or pool alone. We are here for a 2nd time and again this year during Christmas break from elementary school. Some less staff present around Christmas which still resulted in overflowing trash cans at the only restroom building that was open. Too many people coming to one place. Toilets that were not cleaned as often, the paper towels running out. Because there is no hands dry hair dryer or towel available. Toilet building is plenty still under renovation.... Can only get more beautiful. We had a comfort pitch from which we first got stuck with our camper in the mud to get to our pitch at all. Fortunately, we got help just after 5pm because we called the phone number. The gentleman came with a shovel to help us but 1 shovel was not enough, a second one came.... Over an hour later we stood on our spot, crooked and crooked. But at least we could get through the evening and night. Next morning we moved our camper, because we had no more room for our winter awning. Because it was suddenly no longer a comfort spot that way, moving succeeded, without getting stuck in the mud, sandy ground. The power didn't work well at first either...after a few calls and waits it finally worked out. Too bad the water didn't work at our more expensive Comfort spot. Because the water worked at the C field C9,10,11 and 12 did work. Lovely indoor pool with lovely hot showers. Sauna can be reserved for an additional fee. And sometimes it can be when you swim in the pool that the section of the hot tub is closed because the sauna is rented. WiFi barely worked all over the campsite and was insecure and public. Perhaps password protected wifi would be a better option for the future....? If you install the campground app you will be notified of any changes. For example, a notification came today that an extra toilet block was opening but it is not heated etc etc. Or a notification that you come to reserve oliebollen and apple turnovers and when they can be picked up. Tip: If you go here bring bird food and peanuts. There are plenty of birds (finches, great tits, robins) and squirrels at the park who will feast on them. And a must watch for young and old alike. Even our dogs enjoyed it! Nice that the park is fireworks free..... Update in response The Pole Mountain: We have now booked again and are looking forward to it again 😊

Hele fijne auto loze camping...

Our vacation in Bungalow 4 at Holiday Park . At the turn of the year. 2024/2025 The bungalow was spacious and fully equipped. The fireplace in the living room provided a cozy atmosphere, while the bathtub was an oasis of calm after a day of hiking in nature. The park itself was beautifully situated, surrounded by forests and moors. Our dogs thoroughly enjoyed the many hiking trails. Every morning we were awakened by the chirping of squirrels frolicking playfully through the garden. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was a nice gesture that on arrival we found a Christmas card and a small Christmas tree. The free oliebollen on New Year's Eve were also a nice surprise. Unfortunately, there were also some minor downsides. The lack of manuals for the electrical appliances was a bit frustrating at times and a vacuum cleaner would have been handy. It was also unfortunate that there was no firewood for sale at the park. In addition, despite the fireworks-free regulations, we still heard a lot of fireworks from the surrounding area. Unfortunately, not only our neighbors, but also some guests at the park itself, did not follow the fireworks-free rules. As a result, despite the ban, we were still bothered by fireworks. For this reason, we are looking for another location for next time. The park is an excellent base for hiking, biking and other outdoor activities. Despite the minor flaws, we can say that we had a good vacation at The Paalberg.

Stood here with New Year's Eve. Quiet campsite with forest around the corner. We did not go beyond the plumbing (clean!) and pool (warm!). Had a fine night.
