The thermal baths of Bagni di San Filippo
Just over an hour in the car and you will arrive at the thermal baths of Bagni di San Filippo. The baths are located in a wooded area and some parts of the water are as high as 40 degrees. The smell takes some getting used to, but once you've rubbed yourself with the white sulfurous mud you'll enjoy a special day in and beside the water.

From the glamping, they organize different activities like boat trips or even a boat race, but you can also go on your own adventure. The campsite is rather outdated and sometimes looks a bit unkempt due to the permanent campers. The operators are very nice and friendly. Our pitch was nice, the sanitary facilities were okay - water unfortunately only lukewarm or with very little water pressure. The shower cubicles were large and comfortable compared to other Italian campsites. Wcs with toilet paper available, very clean! However, €30 for the low season is really too much in terms of value for money. Some things are advertised that are not there (e.g. fenced area for dogs). The water of the lake was totally dirty with dead fish swimming in it. We didn't see any possibility to get into the water (but we wouldn't have let our dog into the water because it was dirty).
