A day at the Porto Conte Regional Park

Want to alternate the beach for an active day in the greenery? Then head to the Porto Conte Regional Park. Hike over hills, enjoy the beautiful viewpoints and admire the flora and fauna. There are several routes through the park, which are also great to make with children. Who knows, you might come across donkeys and ponies, or go in search of the pink flamingo. There is plenty to admire in this nature reserve! The highest point in the park is Monte d'Olia. From 437 meters up here you have the best view of Sardinia and its azure waters. With more than 5,000 acres of nature, there is plenty to explore.

Heading toward the city of Alghero

Alghero, one of the largest cities in Sardinia, is about 5 kilometers from the glamping site. Take a trip to the historic center and wander the beautiful narrow streets, where the balconies are full of laundry hanging to dry. With its Catalan influences, many restaurants and a harbor, there is much to see, do and taste! Visit the Catalan Gothic Santa Maria Cathedral and walk the centuries-old seawalls. Head toward the squares for restaurants, enjoy an aperitivo and browse the many quaint stores. End your day with a delicious Italian dinner, or find a spot to watch the sunset.

The Caves of Neptune

Not too far from the glamping are the Neptune Caves. A special piece of nature you can get to by boat from Alghero, or by climbing a steep rock with more than 500 steps. Once inside the caves you will admire the most beautiful stalactites and an extraordinary underground lake.     Manfred and I had a really nice time at the Laguna Blu. However, I have to say that the price-performance ratio was not quite right. Really many Swiss....

    Manfred und ich hatten eine wirklich schöne Zeit im Laguna Blu. Jedoch muss ich sagen das, dass Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht ganz Stimmig war. Echt viele Schweizer….

    In itself a nice clean campsite, with clean sanitary facilities, nice staff and a bus connection (every hour) to Alghero. For the price (49€, for 2 people + camper in the 2nd cheapest category in October per night) you can expect that. So if you're looking for a clean campsite with a view of the lagoon, this is the place for you! The 3 stars are because - that I was particularly bothered by the many mosquitoes, - the price-performance ratio was not quite right for us in the low season and - the pool can only be used with a swimming cap, which doesn't feel like a vacation to me, but more like swimming lessons.

    An sich ein schöner sauberer Campingplatz, mit sauberen Sanitäranlagen, nettem Personal und einer Busanbindung (jede Stunde) an Alghero. Für den Preis (49€, für 2 Personen + Camper in der 2. billigesten Kategorie im Oktober pro Nacht) kann man das allerdings auch erwarten. Wer also auf einen sauberen Campingplatz mit einem Blick auf die Lagune wert legt ist hier genau richtig! Die 3 Sterne kommen daher: - dass mir besonders die vielen Mücken zu schaffen gemacht haben, - für uns das Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis in der Nebensaison nicht so ganz gepasst hat und - der Pool nur mit Badekappe genutzt werden darf, was sich für mich dann nicht nach Urlaub, sondern eher nach Schwimmunterricht anfühlt.

    Gigantic campsite is very well located, in summer it must be hectic and lively but the off-season rates are very expensive, late October for a tent pitch 45Euros per night while everything is closed, the next day I left to take an airbnb in the medieval center of Alghero for 5 Euros more....

    Camping gigantesque est très bien situé, en été ça doit être mouvementé et animé mais les tarifs en hors saison sont très cher, fin octobre pour un emplacement tente 45Euros la nuit alors que tout est fermé, le lendemain je suis partit pour prendre un airbnb dans le centre médiéval d Alghero pour 5 Euros de plus....

    We spent 3 nights here before our return journey. Little going on at the beginning of November and therefore very nice and quiet. Sanitary always found clean. There was toilet paper and hot water for washing up, not a matter of course.

    Haben vor der Rückreise 3 Nächte hier verbracht. Anfang November wenig los und dadurch sehr schön ruhig. Sanitär immer sauber vorgefunden. Es gab Toilettenpapier und heißes Wasser zum abwaschen.Nicht selbstverständlich.
