I was there in the last week of September, the last 11 days before the winter stop. So if you go this time of the season, a few things to consider. I was staying in the disabled home, the wooden cabinets. Bring a sleeping bag, as they are a summer camping and only provide bed sheets without the warm stuff. They have plenty if fleece availabe. And bring your own pillow, because these are too soft. Very cozy little house, only when we arrived the house was a bit dirty so we cleaned it before we settled. And we cleaned it ourselves afterwards. They speak perfectly english at the reception. At this time of the season you are in the middle of the summer and winter season, so a lot of things in the surrounding area are closed. They have a month of no activities at all. We came here to hike multiple mountains so we didn’t bother. But most ski lift areas for easy mountain views were closed, the same for toboggan runs in the area. The water and swimming pools were still quite nice at this time of the season, but don’t expect warm temperatures. 5 minutes swim was more than enough. I highly recommend bring a SUP or any other board. The surrounding rentals are ridiculously expensive. The little shop was still open for daily fresh pain au chocolats and other bread. The restaurant at the foot of the camping was available as well. We had the idea we were the only one at the world, so quiet it was at this time of the season. But we absolutely loved that! I can go on for ages, but this camping and place was magnificent. Would love to come back in high summer when the temperatures are 28 instead of 16. (And freezing in the night)z

The Huttopia Lac de Serre-Ponçon campsite was a wonderful discovery we made at the beginning of August while swimming in the lake. We booked a trapper tent for 5, for the last weekend in September. It's a pity that temperatures dropped to around 2° at night, as the tent wasn't at all suitable, despite the small wood-burning stove (which did us some good, though!). Nevertheless, we had a great time. We'll be repeating our Huttopia experience. Helpful, attentive staff. Superb surroundings. Total change of scenery. Clean and very well equipped.

Environnement superbe. Dépaysement total. Location propre et très bien équipée.

We were there from 23.09-30.09. A beautiful landscape, a great lake and also super accommodation. Hot showers in the shingle wagon and a fully equipped kitchen. However, it should also be mentioned that the campsite was still open but all activities and café facilities were closed. Cold water in the lake and possibly bad weather is to be expected under certain circumstances and is not a problem. However, it is a great pity that there is no indication that all bars, cafés, boat hire etc etc have closed in the last few weeks. It's a shame because you kind of have to book this...

Waking up in the morning with a view of the lake was unfortunately the only real highlight of the campsite. We noticed that we were there in the low season, because both the sanitary facilities and the supermarket (almost all the fruit was moldy) were poor. Most of the showers were broken and were only repaired after three days. The staff were friendly, but for the price you can expect a bit more. What was positive were the many facilities, such as a pool, playground, petanque, library, etc., which we unfortunately couldn't use because we had to leave. - Unfortunately, we couldn't use them because it was already too cold.
