The Corrèze region of France is a paradise for sporty vacationers. With its vast nature, it offers numerous opportunities to be active. Explore the landscape on foot via the many hiking trails, such as the famous path to Santiago de Compostela. For cyclists, there are challenging mountain bike trails and quiet roads through picturesque villages. The region's rivers are perfect for canoeing, kayaking and fishing. Fans of climbing can indulge in the gorges and rock formations, while water sports enthusiasts enjoy swimming, sailing or paddleboarding on the lakes. Horseback riding and golf are also among the options.

Visit Tulle
Tulle, just a 35-minute drive from the glamping, is a charming town full of history and culture. It is also called the "city of the seven hills," due to its beautiful location amid the hilly landscape of the Corrèze. Stroll the atmospheric streets, admire the Gothic cathedral of Notre-Dame and visit the Maison Loyac, a beautiful example of Renaissance architecture. Tulle is known for its rich textile history, especially the production of lace and tulle. Don't forget to take a look at the museum dedicated to this. The town also has many cozy terraces and restaurants where you can enjoy local specialties.
Excursion to Château de Pompadour
The Château de Pompadour, just 28 kilometers from the glamping site, is a magnificent example of medieval architecture. In the 18th century, it was partially rebuilt and given as a gift to a marquise de Pompadour. Opposite the castle is the world-famous horse racing track, where competitions, judging and shows take place regularly. With its rich history, impressive architecture and events, this castle is a unique destination for lovers of culture, history and horses!

Liked: We used this site as a winter stop over on our way to Spain. It had all we needed - hot shower, clean facilities and a firm pitch. It’s turned out to be quite an atmospheric place to stay - partly due to us being the only guests that night in a pretty spooky forest, and partly due to the light show from the adjoining restaurant (which lit up the whole forest and made it feel like a scene from the x files). Looks like a lovely site for summer - we’d love to return then. Disliked: Nothing

A beautiful spot surrounded by an ancient forest of oak and beech trees. Unfortunately I discovered that a wind turbine construction project is underway 3 km away, at La Porcherie, and could one day spoil the surrounding countryside and the lovely views over the forest...
