Route des vins d'Alsace
Alsace is famous for its beautiful vineyards producing delicious wines such as Riesling, Gewürztraminer and Pinot Blanc. In the 1950s, an idyllic 170-km wine route was created connecting all 120 wine villages. The wine route takes you past many charming villages, castles, mountains, vineyards and restaurants. The more than 1000 wine producers are happy to share their passion and their different wines with you.

Waterfalls of Tendon
"La Cascade de Tendon" are 2 beautiful waterfalls in the middle of the forest. The waterfalls are popular with people looking for a peaceful, natural setting for picnicking or swimming, as well as for taking beautiful photos. At 35 meters, the large waterfall is the highest in the entire Vosges Mountains. Follow a rocky path along the gently flowing mountain river Scouet and climb to the base of the waterfall in a few minutes. The water cascades down through a high, rugged rock face amid the green jungle. Want to see more? Then climb a slightly steeper, rocky path to the top of the waterfall. At the top of the big waterfall is even a mountain restaurant.
Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park
This protected nature reserve in the Vosges Mountains covers an area of about 55,000 hectares and is known for its beautiful landscapes of rolling hills, forests and meadows. The park is home to various plant and animal species, including rare and endangered species such as the black stork and the European wild cat. Do you enjoy hiking? Then you are in the right place as the park has many different hiking trails, ranging from easy nature walks to challenging mountain treks, with beautiful viewpoints. Or hop on a bike and tour the beautiful natural landscape. For the truly adventurous, there is a range of outdoor activities such as rock climbing, paragliding and hang gliding. The park also has guided tours, nature workshops and other educational activities suitable for all ages.
Excursion to the Gérardmer
A 15-minute drive from the glamping is Gérardmer, the largest natural lake in the Vosges, surrounded by beautiful forests. Head in that direction to relax in, or choose instead to make it an active day. Rent a boat or paddleboat to take on the lake, or how about renting a SUP board?

Pitch size was good, but overall the facilities on pitch were poor. Washing machines should be in a separate room. Better food outlets. Overpriced camping. Ed. Response to the owner, I clearly stated that the pitch was a good size, but the drainage connection was underneath a heavy stone slab and yes there was water and electricity but a more modern terminal for all services would have been better for older users. The point made regarding the washing machines is very simple, the machines are in a room with hot water cylinders which means you have to lock them up for safety sake, if they were moved away into another area or room there would be no need to lock them up. I've not seen washing machines or dryers locked up in 25 years of camping. In fact a municipal site we visited has the same machines with an honesty box with a charge of only 2€. The comments made should be viewed as constructive criticism, as most would see these items as obvious issues that can be rectified quite easily, but as with other slightly negative reviews here the owner is immediately on the defensive instead of responding with "we appreciate your comment and will aim to make improvements".

The tent, with several other safari tents, stands in a large field in a nice little campground, within walking distance of the center of the village. Outside on the porch are two lovely chairs. Inside the tent is spacious and the basics (pans, plates) you need are in there. The sanitary facilities at the campsite were well kept clean. Nice area for an active vacation, hiking, visiting castles, villages and towns, also a few lakes. For daytime activities you do have to take the car a bit.

I came in 2013! 11 years have gone by and I've come back with a bang, it's changed a lot, one of my favourites, this campsite! Pascaline and her husband are beautiful people. Pascaline listens to the people at the campsite whenever they need her, which is always a pleasure! ❤️

This campsite is absolutely worth a recommendation! Clean sanitary facilities, quiet pitches - with plenty of sun or shade, our dog was absolutely welcome and ideal as a starting point for many hikes! The tourist information office in the village and also at the campsite have lots of hiking suggestions in French and English. The swimming pool is amazing - only topped by the chilling area. And there are regular activities, such as wine tastings or pizza on the food truck's stone houses - that's how vacation is spelled: Clos de la Chaume 🥰

Lovely spacious tent, with a good bed of 2 m. Lots of space around the tent, nice field where there are 6 safari tents, and children also quickly make contact with each other. What we also appreciate is the gas bbq, delicious food prepared on it. Close to the toilets. The Vosges is a paradise for nature lovers, lakes, rocks. You can do a lot of hiking. We drove the route des cretes, a winding through route to Alsace, beautiful. The beautiful villages with half-timbered houses in Alsace and the vineyards, several castles and concentration camp Natzweiler- Struthof are tourist attractions that we visited. Otherwise had a very nice stay.

Verder heel fijn verblijf gehad.
